Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego

The 2016 IWLP conference was held at the Sherwood Auditorium at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego in La Jolla, California. Located on the coast with amazing views of the Pacific Ocean, the museum is conveniently situated near downtown La Jolla hosting a number of hotels, restaurants and shops.

San Diego Lindbergh Field (SAN) is about a 20-30 minute drive from La Jolla.  Car rentals are available to drive to La Jolla.  Public transportation is also available but is slow.  Taxi fare is about $50.  Lyft or Uber starts at about $20.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is a 2- to 3-hour drive away (depending on traffic) from La Jolla.  Travelers can rent a car and drive to La Jolla, or, can get to La Jolla through a combination of a bus, a train, and then either bus or taxi.  (A taxi or ride-share from LAX to La Jolla would cost well over $100 and is not recommended.)
